This photo is owned by Queensland Railways. The photo shows the shuttering (boxing) for the main pier caisson from downstream to the west. The supplementary braced piers at the top of the bank have already been cast. The closest pier includes the start of the parabolic curve. The reinforcing rods used in this arch are not protruding from this, and I don't know why. Detail of construction materials is interesting. The 1867 bridge shows in the background.
